BOLT has been one of my most favorite mobile web browser for long. BOLT is well known for its speed and widgets. If you are not aware then BOLT became the first ever Java mobile web browser to support mobile widgets. Mobile widgets or mobile add-ons are not powerful yet and it doesn’t provide much functionality but this is a good start by BOLT 1.7.
Bitstream developers has announced new BOLT 2.0 beta mobile web browser for download now. BOLT 2.0 beta is significantly impressive compared to BOLT 1.7 (bitstream team is really doing good). BOLT 2.0 supports tabbed browsing like Opera mini 5 mobile web browser. Opera became one of the first mobile web browser to support tabbed browsing now BOLT has also joined the tabbed browser club. BOLT 2.0 is not that impressive when it comes to user interface or graphics. BOLT developers has concentrated on functions of web browser instead of graphics and looks.
